1. What AroodMe is
AroodMe is a membership club that gives paying members discounts and pre-paid offers (“Packs”) at participating cafés, restaurants and other merchants (“Merchants”) across the United Arab Emirates. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and AroodMe (“we”, “us”) covering your use of our app, website and related services (the “Service”). By subscribing or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
We are not the Merchant. When you redeem a Pack, you are buying goods or services directly from the Merchant, and the Merchant is solely responsible for preparing and serving them.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. You agree to give us accurate information (including a valid mobile number) and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Membership & billing
AroodMe Club is a paid subscription. Current plans:
- Annual plan — AED 199 per year.
- Monthly plan — AED 49 per month.
Prices are in UAE Dirhams and include VAT where applicable. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe, on our behalf, to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. If you subscribed via the Apple App Store, billing is handled by Apple under their terms.
4. Cancellation & refunds
You can cancel any time from inside the app or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then. Except where required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable and partial periods are not pro-rated. Redeemed Packs are non-refundable. Un-redeemed Packs that expire are non-refundable.
5. Using Packs at Merchants
Packs are personal, non-transferable and have no cash value. Each Pack is valid only at the Merchant, for the item(s) and time window shown inside the app. Packs cannot be combined with other promotions unless the Merchant explicitly allows it. We may adjust, suspend or remove Packs from the library (for example, if a Merchant leaves the network); we will not retroactively take away a Pack you have already paid for within its validity window.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to (a) resell or share your membership or Packs; (b) use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purpose; (c) attempt to reverse engineer, scrape or interfere with the Service; or (d) harass Merchants or their staff. We may suspend or terminate your account for a breach of these Terms, without refund.
7. Relationship with Merchants
Merchants are independent businesses. AroodMe does not own, operate or control Merchants and is not responsible for the quality, safety, hygiene, allergens, pricing (outside the Pack) or availability of items served. Disputes about a specific order should be raised with the Merchant first; we'll help where we can.
8. Intellectual property
The AroodMe name, logo, app, website, design and content are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific Merchant or Pack will always be available.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AroodMe's total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you inside the app or by the contact details you gave us at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where local consumer protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your place of residence.
